Chapter 791 – Spirit Cutie
by EzyAiko threw them some of the beads that she had left over, but they didn’t eat it. There was no food around, other than the questionably conjured food, and she didn’t know if they could eat it.
“Ugh, don’t tell me…” Aiko groaned when she realised it might be that thing.
[Do you wish to feed [Sludges]x23? (230 Soul Points)]
“I knew it! Damned bastards.” Aiko spat out of her mouth, these bastards would skin her alive if they could, but at least the clothes and other things were for free.
They, in fact, were not free as it was Aiko that was sustaining them, but she fortunately didn’t know that.
Aiko decided to find more shops. Maybe there was some kind of shop about taming, but…
“Knowing my luck, the moment I turn around away from these little fuckers, Spirit Slime will be grown.” Aiko nodded her head like she already predicted this.
“Wait…” Aiko raised her eyebrow. “Hehe~” She chuckled sinisterly.
“Well, I suppose I will go look over the buildings and won’t be here for a while.” Aiko said out loudly as she turned around leaving slowly.
[Growing: Slime]
Aiko’s eyes immediately bulged as she turned around like some kind of monster and galloped towards the pen. The sludges were completely terrified of that sight, so much so that some of them died due to stress.
Aiko trained her eyes on the pen, trying to find the Slime that was just born. She would never allow them to devour another one!
Seeing a Slime that was similar in colour like that shop, Aiko jumped at him and grabbed him between her fingers.
“Whoa…” Aiko blinked her eyes. It was cool, much cooler than inside the shop, and its texture was also more exquisite.
[Spirit Slime]
“Hm?” Aiko blinked her eyes.
[Spirit Slime]
“Oh you fuckers.” Aiko roared, killing off most of the sludges that survived her terrifying running on four legs.
Aiko looked around and found a Slime that was the exact same colour to that of the shop and picked it up too.
As expected, the sensation was the same as in the shop, so there was no mistaking that this was the Slime and that one was higher grade, the Spirit Slime.
But how did they differ, just texture?
Sure, the Spirit Slime was foolishly and happily smiling at her, making Aiko like it a lot more than the Slime or sludge, but…
“What do you eat?” Aiko foolishly thought that she could actually communicate with it, but that was just-
The Spirit Slime pointed at the Slime.
“Hm?” Aiko rubbed her eyes with her wrists, trying to see again if that was not an illusion.
“You want to eat another Slime?” Aiko titled her head. She tried to talk to it again, wondering if that was possible.
The Spirit Slime made an X out of its body.
“Are you after Soul Points?” Aiko couldn’t figure out what it wanted.
The Spirit Slime made both Y and X and then pointed at the Slime again.
“You want the bead?” Aiko finally figured it out. It took her a while, since the other sludges didn’t want anything like that even if she threw it at them.
The Spirit Slime made a happy Y, waiting for her to feed it.
“Okay, that’s better than Soul Points.” Aiko nodded her head seriously. She would keep one sludge, Slime and Spirit Slime. The rest would be used to buy one of each inside the shop and then rest would be fed to the Spirit Slime.
That way she wouldn’t miss out on anything.
“Okay, stay here, and I will- You want to go with me?” Aiko blinked at the Spirit Slime that was clinging to her.
Now she looked at it again and the Spirit Slime was the only one whose ‘core’ was see-through too and when she poked it she couldn’t feel it at all.
“Okay, okay.” Aiko would take both of the slimes around to see if she could find anything else she wanted to buy.
…
Walking towards the first shop with the questionable items. She wanted to buy one of each, even if she wouldn’t use it, but…
The Spirit Slime bounced around, wrecking the shop. It felt like it was either jealous, or just didn’t want Aiko to use such inferior products.
‘I hope I won’t have to pay for this…’ Aiko scratched her cheek and fortunately, she didn’t. The shop restored itself soon after the Spirit Slime stopped, so that was good.
“Are you jealous~?” Aiko teased the small Spirit Slime. The size was about her palm, tiny and cute, with cute expressions. She quite liked it.
‘I wonder if there will be a possibility of bringing it over to the real world.’ Aiko was seriously considering exploring the world just to find something similar.
The Spirit Slime jumped angrily, startling Aiko.
“Huh, seriously?” Aiko blinked at it before laughing. “Okay, okay, let’s go somewhere else.”
However, the same thing happened over and over again. Be it clothes, equipment, anything that was inferior to the Spirit Slime was wrecked by it.
Aiko couldn’t understand this hostile attitude that it had towards those things.
The last stop was in front of a shop that had many small ‘buildings’ or well, more like toy houses, in front.
The Spirit Slime was exceptionally excited and jumped up and down, wanting Aiko to go inside.
The toy houses were simply incredible. Small and detailed and in many sizes, shapes and architectures.
Aiko was especially mesmerised by the small ‘cave hotels’. They felt cosy, unlike what Human Cultivators used.
Aiko explored this place a bit more before she found the Spirit Slime already plastered inside a tiny cave, melting itself into the background.
“Do you like it?” Aiko tilted her head.
The Spirit Slime gave her a happy thumbs up, making her giggle amusingly.
“Okay, I will buy it.” This was the first being that actually reacted to her without hostile intentions in this place, so she would indulge it for a bit.
“The cost is fine.” Aiko didn’t think it was too expensive considering the prices of the other stuff and this would also leave a lot for the Spirit Slime to eat, so everything would be fine.
“But you know this is all the beads we have, right?” Aiko raised her eyebrow when she saw the carefree Spirit Slime.
The Spirit Slime flinched, it felt like it realised the grave situation and jumped up and down inside its new home.
“There are no sludges outside.” Aiko looked troubled, but she quite liked teasing and bullying this cute little thing.
‘I might develop some bad habits…’ Aiko pursed her lips, but this was so nice. ‘Good thing I have that doe.’ She nodded her head seriously.
Aiko looked around if there were any other houses that she wished to buy, but when she came closer, she realised it took different beads. Which meant that each bead would correlate to a different home and thus a different monster.
“Hmmmmm…” Aiko was considering everything. Maybe she could buy something that would allow her to drag Mei in here? Or maybe something that would allow her to take things out?
This was a serious issue that she was considering, but she wouldn’t know until she explored this place more.
A lot of places were still empty and would probably be only populated once she explored enough.
Aiko took the small cave home with both Slimes. It seemed like the Spirit Slime had naturally a bigger part of the home and the Slime would have smaller, but neither of them fought about it, so everything should be fine.
Aiko nodded her head as she left the shop. This shop was not here before, but it seemed like it would be very important.
With that in mind Aiko looked around to find anything else new, but unfortunately there was not much. There was the interior designer with questionably suggestive walls, so Aiko ignored it and just went home.
The small cave home was set up next to the pen, but still some distance away. This would allow her to see over both things at the same time.
“It’s also weird that I don’t feel exhausted.” Aiko bobbed her body from side to side.
That was only natural, this was her Soul, unlike her body and mind, this part would never get tired as it had to record everything she was experiencing throughout her life.
Aiko nodded her head as she looked over the Spirit Slime.
“Here.” Aiko started to feed it one bead after another.
The sensation when the Spirit Slime ‘enveloped’ her fingers to dissolve it was truly addictive.
“I wonder if I could make an army of strange monsters and bring it out.” Now Aiko was even considering weaponising these cuties, but considering the war crimes she already caused, this was par for the course.
Aiko cackled a few times, killing off pretty much the rest of the sludges but one. It seemed like the one was either very resilient or with no self-preservation.
“Hmmm…” Aiko tilted her head. “I wonder if you will be able to talk more when you grow up… You will grow up, right?” She was wondering if they would stay so small and cute, which would be nice, but you never know.
The Spirit Slime didn’t answer anything, since it knew it depended on her how it would grow up.
“Can you fight?” Aiko suddenly smirked. Thinking about going to war with such cuties would be such a joy~!
The Spirit Slime gave her thumbs up, but then gestured that it needed to be fed more for that to be possible.
“Ugh, we have so many things I have to buy…” Aiko could already see how her pockets were depleted by this small cutie, but she wouldn’t do anything about it. It was small cute and the sensation was-
*shudder*
At this point Aiko almost thought that she got off on that sensation, but that was probably her imagination.
Aiko nodded her head as she fed the last beads to the cutie before cleaning her hands.
She looked at the pen. There were more beads from the dead sludges, so she took them and cleaned them. She would give the Spirit Slime these a bit later since she had to go out now.
Aiko wanted to see how difficult those enemies were and how skilled those nasty things were.
If they were fine, then she would just clear them and see if she could get more beads to feed the slime. If not she would just clear a few before nurturing the slime as another battle unit.
[Once you clear Wave 5, you will be able to choose an occupation.]
Aiko’s eyes lit up. This is what she was talking about~!
Ezy
For those that are worried that the main case will be foreshadowed:
We will be able to bring in others once this ‘space’ gets big enough for more Souls~ ^-^
Another thing, I might be skipping a few days if the temperatures don’t decrease, I’m really struggling here since my room is already 31C x]
